Museum of Printing President Frank Romano describes the history of the Gutenberg Bible as “a tale of disciples, betrayers, technology, regal kings & lowly monks, martyrs, dedicated translators, inept printers, war, peace, and, oh, religion.”

The Museum of Printing in Haverhill Massachusetts has one of the most extensive collections of printing presses, related equipment, typesetting machines, wood and metal type, prints & graphics created by every process, all encompassing the beginning with Gutenberg in 1440s to the Modern age.  The Museum now has an equally extensive collection of Bibles, many printed in America from 1663 to the early 20th century.
