Historic Newton July Community Weekend
Newton residents are invited to enjoy free admission to both of the Historic Newton museums. Celebrate the birth of our nation by re-visiting Newton's revolutionary past in our "Newton History Gallery” at the Jackson Homestead or the Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds, a 1734 house interpreting the buildup to the Revolutionary War in Newton.

At the Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds, 286 Waverley Avenue AND the Jackson Homestead and Museum, 527 Washington Street, Newton 02458; 10:00 AM–5:00 PM.

The Durant-Kenrick House has one parking space for people with disabilities adjacent to the main entrance. The main entrance is accessible by a wooden ramp from the parking area to the door. The second floor is accessible by an elevator.
