Tour Leader: Edward Gordon, President, VSA/NE

PLEASE join us for a train trip to this colorful seaside community. Gloucester’s citizens have long depended on the sea to earn their living as fisherman and in trades associated with maritime pursuits.

During our visit we will admire the historic residential architecture of the downtown, visit the Cape Anne Museum, and enjoy lunch in a restaurant noted for its excellent seafood fare.

Gloucester’s Rocky Neck artist colony has been called the oldest in the nation. We will view examples of the work of Fitz Henry Lane, Winslow Homer, Childe Hassam, John Twatchtman, and other well known painters. Please wear comfortable shoes, bring your cameras, and pray for luminous late summer weather!

Stay tuned for more information..
